On July 23, 2026, during a press conference held by the National Center for Research and Development at the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw, agreements were signed to provide funding for projects selected under the PERUN program—“New Technologies in the Field of National Security and Defense.”

Among the funded initiatives were two projects carried out in collaboration with Łukasiewicz – PIMOT:

  • OSKAR – Development of an Autonomous Swarm Control System.
  • AIISAS – Developing the capability to detect and identify objects in military vehicle surveillance systems using machine learning techniques. The project is being carried out by a consortium led by Łukasiewicz – PIMOT, with PCO S.A. and the Military Institute of Armament Technology as consortium partners.

The PERUN program supports the development of innovative technologies that address the nation’s security and defense needs and strengthens cooperation among Polish academia, industry, and the defense sector.

This marks another important step for the Institute in developing its research and development capabilities and technologies that can find practical applications in the fields of security and defense.

Thank you to all the teams and partners involved in preparing the projects!
