Łukasiewicz Research Network – Automotive Industry Institute (Łukasiewicz-PIMOT) undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website: https://pimot.lukasiewicz.gov.pl/ / in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital availability of websites and mobile applications of public entities. Anyone may request that the website or any element thereof be made digitally accessible. One may also request an alternative way of accessing information, e.g. by reading a digitally unavailable document, describing the content of a film lacking an audio description, etc.

The request should include:
1. identity data of the person making the request,
2. indication of which website or mobile application the request pertains to, and,
3. contact method.

If the person making the request requests information by means of an alternative means of access, they should also specify which way of presenting the information is most convenient for them. The public entity should comply with the request as soon as possible, however, not later than 7 days from the day the request was made. If this is not possible, the public entity should immediately inform the person making the request when the specific information may be made accessible, which shall not be longer than 2 months from the date of the request. If the digital availability cannot be provided, the public entity may propose alternative means of providing access to the information. In case the public entity refuses to provide digital or alternative access to the requested information, the person making the request can file a complaint regarding the lack of digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or a part of the website or mobile application. Once the above procedure has been exhausted, a request can be made to the Commissioner for Human Rights (Polish Ombudsman).

Architectural Accessibility

Łukasiewicz – PIMOT has several buildings, in which laboratories and administration buildings are located. The buildings are located on the area of over 20 000 square meters.

As regards architectural accessibility, two most important buildings of Łukasiewicz – PIMOT are: building no. 6 (administration and laboratory building) in which Directors’ offices, laboratory and administration rooms are located, and building no. 1 in which the Driver Training Center is located.

Łukasiewicz-PIMOT’s seat may be accessed from Jagiellońska street through the guardhouse building. The entrance is easy accessible, also for people with disabilities.

The exit from the guardhouse building into Łukasiewicz – PIMOT’s site is easy accessible, also for people with disabilities.

Building no. 6 has 4 entrances: the main entrance that can be accessed only through stairs, two side entrances with staircase (one of which is out of use), and fourth entrance with a driveway providing barrier-free access for people with disabilities, and access to an elevator. The building has 3 storeys and is equipped with an elevator that allows for accessing all hallways of the building. There is a toilet adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, located in the main hall, in front of the main entrance of the building no. 6. Secretary’s Office is located on the right from the main entrance.

The Institute does not have a sound guidance system for the blind or visually impaired – no induction loops.

There is a Driver Training Center located on the site of the Institute, which organizes training courses for driving license candidates, also with disabilities. The Center is located in the ground floor of building no. 1. The main entrance of the building has a ramp for wheelchairs. There is also a toilet adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Łukasiewicz – PIMOT does not have navigation assistance for blind or visually impaired people. There are no induction loops.

There is no Braille alphabet, contrasting or enlarged signs for blind and visually impaired people in the building.

It is not possible to use the Polish Sign Language translator online in the buildings.

The site and all buildings can be entered with an assistance dog or a guide dog.

We have 3 parking spots adopted to the needs of people with disabilities.
